QSRMC and SpeCC are pleased to announce that SpeCC - the Registration Scheme for Specialist Concrete Contractors - has become an operating division of The Quality Scheme for Ready Mixed Concrete.

The merger provides an opportunity for concrete frame contractors to integrate their management systems certification with their specialist process conformity certification under the SpeCC scheme.

QSRMC civil engineers have previously provided the SpeCC assessment services under contract. So following the merger, assessment services to SpeCC registered firms will continue seamlessly.

The number of SpeCC registered contractors has increased substantially over the last three years reflecting a growing acknowledgement of the status of the scheme within the industry. The merger with QSRMC creates a combined capability based on a natural synergy that will underwrite future certification activity and offers complimentary opportunities to both concrete producers and this significant group of customers.

QSRMC exists to help both purchasers and producers. The scheme’s expertise, rigorous standards and added value all combine to make QSRMC the gold standard which is unequalled in the UK. The new partnership with SpeCC is a logical development for both organisations. By linking the quality management of concrete production and concrete construction there will be gains for all, not least for construction clients.
