Welcome to QSRMC, the independent certification body for ready mixed concrete.

QSRMC provides ISO 9001 and product conformity certification for the design, production and supply of ready mixed concrete. The certification standard for ready mixed concrete is the QSRMC Quality and Product Conformity Regulations, details of which can be found on the Regulations page.

QSRMC sets the highest certification standards for ready mixed concrete and it is the preferred certification scheme of almost all the major UK suppliers and a large number of smaller producers. Most of the ready mixed concrete currently supplied in the UK is covered by the assurance provided by the QSRMC Certification Mark. Companies awarded QSRMC certification are licensed to use the QSRMC Certification Mark on literature and documentation, including quotations and delivery tickets. The QSRMC Mark is the best known and most widely specified certification mark for ready mixed concrete. Only QSRMC certified companies can supply concrete in accordance with the QSRMC Quality and Product Conformity Regulations. The Regulations and the assessment standards are under the control of a Governing Board, the members of which are directly involved either in specifying/purchasing concrete or in supplying the product. QSRMC’s assessment and certification staff all undergo an extensive initial training and continuing professional development programme which, by building on their previous experience as consulting engineers, materials engineers, contractors and from within the ready mixed concrete industry, enhances and maintains their expertise in concrete and quality management systems. There is no equivalent quality and product conformity certification scheme for ready mixed concrete in the UK. QSRMC Certification is directly referenced in the National Structural Concrete Specification for Building Construction and accepted without qualification in the Specification for Highway Works. It is also a requirement of many private sector specifications for concrete.

QSRMC is accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) for product conformity and quality management systems certification. Accreditation provides assurance that QSRMC operates in accordance with International Standards.
